The ocean views were lovely, but I was disappointed that the facilities listed on Bookings.com definitely weren’t all available. Nobody told us before we booked. There was a change of owners in December 2025 and it hasn’t been sorted out yet.

The beachfront location at Ocean View Guest House in Wilderness is stunning. The house itself feels dated and less modern than the photos make it look, and it could use a lot of upkeep. The place had a grimy feel, and the pillows were lumpy, definitely bring your own.

The view and location are prime, right on the beach in a really upmarket, secure neighborhood. We stayed in the Honeymoon suite, which was amazing, and the building is an architectural master piece with a very spacious room. Staff were friendly, and the owner made a plan for us after we got our dates wrong and had nowhere to stay. Definitely coming back.

We would’ve liked to stay longer at this lovely Guest House. On our trip along the Garden Route, it was definitely the most luxurious place we stayed. The building is beautiful, right by the sea, and the staff were friendly and open. There’s a kitchen where you can prepare your own food any time, plus a downstairs "living room" with a sofa where you can read comfortably while looking out at the sea. Towels and blankets for the ocean or pool were easy to take, and the pool was clean. Thank you for such beautiful accommodation.
