I didn’t sleep for a minute. There were cockroaches everywhere, including in the bed and crawling on me. I saw around 100 over the night, and several kinds in the room. I’m worried some got into my suitcase and I’ll bring an infestation home. The sheets were dirty, the place was filthy, and I wouldn’t even walk barefoot in case I got some kind of foot disease. I spent the night perched on a high wooden chair, waiting for the sun, because I refused to sit or lie on that bed. It was one of the longest nights of my life. The room smelled strongly of curry powder mixed with mothballs. Neighbors outside my window partied with loud music until early morning, dogs barked through the night, a clock went off every hour and I couldn’t find it, and the electrical DB board above my head made a loud, continuous buzzing sound. I also heard noises outside the bedroom door, like someone moving around and opening and closing it. The unit is in a bad part of town and didn’t feel safe. I didn’t use the shower after reading another review that said its drain was blocked. I’d rather pay for a clean shower at a hotel. After finding the cockroaches, I looked up the reviews and saw several other reports of infestations. There was even a can of doom on top of the fridge. In replies to other guests, the landlord said fumigators couldn’t come because the room would have to close for two days. Is money more important than client hygiene? They should have fumigated and closed the room. It’s beyond infested, and the health department seriously needs to close the place down. If this is what the guest rooms are like, I’d hate to see the main house. I may have to fumigate or burn my clothes and bag before I get home. I wouldn’t let my dogs stay here, let alone a person. Zero stars. Don’t book here, you’d probably be better off sleeping on the pavement; it might be cleaner.
