Alexandrina's Corner Bed and Breakfast

The staff were welcoming and friendly, and they made us a really nice dinner. But the water in one of our rooms smelled like wastewater, which the staff on duty confirmed. The smell got into the room and lingered, so we had to switch rooms. It was disgusting. I was the only one who showered in there, luckily, but I’ve had a rash all over my body since. It’s been five days and it still hasn’t gone away. Never again. We needed a night on the way from Lusaka to South Luangwa and chose Alexandrina on a friend’s recommendation. About three weeks after booking two rooms and ordering dinner, we called on the way to reconfirm. The person in charge had stopped responding and, when we got through, had no idea we’d booked two rooms.

The English breakfast was amazing, and the receptionist made us feel welcome. We booked rooms for eight people and every room was perfect. It’s the place to stay in Chipata, highly recommend it.
