Agora Apartments

The communal coffee house is a nice spot for meetings or just spending time with people. It’s a peaceful, quiet setting with a serene view, and it’s centrally placed near several malls, including East park mall, Arcades mall, and Kenneth Kaunda Mall. The staff were friendly, helpful, and focused on clients, and the customer service was exceptional.

The Mint Restaurant next door is excellent, and the service and location here are great too. These were phenomenal. For westerners travelling to Lusaka or business visitors looking for clean, nice facilities, this is absolutely the place to stay. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

The apartments are roomy, clean, and nicely furnished, with a kitchen that works for self-catering and reliable Wi-Fi. Having a pool and gym on site is a plus, and the location makes it convenient to get to the city centre. Still, there can be noise from neighbouring apartments, and there are occasional maintenance problems inside the units. Traffic gets congested around the area during peak hours too. Agora Apartments is a decent option in Lusaka, though better sound insulation and maintenance would improve the stay.

Agora gave me peace of mind on my first visit home in 20 years, travelling with my two daughters, who are now adults. I loved the spacious two-bedroom apartment, and we never lost power or water. One thing I’d suggest is adding cooking sticks to the kitchen utensils. When I wanted to cook Nshima, there weren’t any. I’m sure Agora has a range of residents, and this will be my home when I visit again. There was also a food truck function while we were there, and the village was so jam-packed it was very hard for residents to get back in. I’ll be back next year.
