The place is peaceful, and the service, rooms, and food were all decent. The problem came when I asked them to arrange a taxi to the airport. It was tiny and quite shaky, with a broken exhaust that was really noisy. They told me it was the cab they always use, but it wasn't up to an acceptable standard.
It was quiet there, and both the food and room were okay. The airport taxi they arranged was no good, though. Its exhaust pipe was broken, and they gave me no receipt. I wondered if they were trying to give the job to a friend.
I had a delicious buffet at a Business Symposium in the Thatch House, and later enjoyed nicely roasted fish and tasty soup with Stanley. The grounds are beautifully kept, with a good-sized pool and a lovely lawn. It’s also a calm place without beer, so there’s no alcohol-related trouble. Behind the main building, the large thatched house works well for weddings, conferences, and church gatherings. Grace Ministries Top used to meet there before moving to the present Tabernacle of Power & Praise under Bishop David Nama. If you want somewhere without crowds for a family meeting, Lodge Serenity is a good choice.
They seem to be operating below full capacity. Service stops at 17, so if you haven't ordered before then, you won't be able to. I can't say how the accommodation is.
I spent about 30 minutes walking around Kabulonga Road because I thought the place was there, but it's actually on Leopard's Hill road. The loos weren't in the condition I wanted, though the place was okay otherwise.
