Wild Dogs Lodge

I liked this little getaway, especially the beautiful space, rooms, and food. One meal had an aftertaste, though, and the soap in my shower bath wasn’t fresh. Thank you.

The staff were very helpful and efficient, and I’d gladly stay here again when I’m back in Zambia. It’s a good overnight stop on the way to safari areas, in a quiet location about 25 minutes from the airport. They can arrange airport rides for $20 each way as of July 2025, which felt well worth it. My twin room for two, including dinner, was about $175 overnight, I think, and a day room is $100. The rates are reasonable and better value than the cold, soulless, identical international chains. The rooms were clean, there was plenty of hot shower water, and the meals were pretty good. There’s also a nice bar and a pool. The grounds are on the small side, but have lovely trees and lots of birds.

The huge pool was a welcome bonus in the heat, and getting to and from the airport was easy. I found the rooms really comfortable, especially appreciated the mosquito net, and the staff were friendly, accommodating, and ready to help. Wild Dogs Lodge is well kept, peaceful, and offers top quality service. I had a fantastic, relaxing time.

After a two day flight, this was a solid place to pause between the city and the bush. It’s just outside Lusaka in a quiet, relaxed area. My room was very clean, and the staff were helpful.
