Goshen Creek Guesthouse

On our second day, staff unexpectedly asked if we were checking out. I said we weren’t, but they insisted we’d said we were, alternating between what my husband and I had supposedly told them. We never gave them that information. Instead of admitting the mistake, they stuck to their story and said the room was booked for someone else. I asked three times to speak with the manager or owner. Each time someone said they’d come, but nobody showed up. That lack of accountability and respect was unacceptable. Service was also slow and inconsistent. We had to ask for basic things like bathroom packs and tissues, and they took a while to arrive. This was my second stay at the lodge, and it’ll be my last. What should have been a comfortable return turned frustrating and disappointing. The poor communication, blame shifting, slow service and refusal to take responsibility mean I can’t recommend it. I won’t be back.

The online photos give the wrong impression. None of the rooms has air conditioning, just a fan, and the small room doesn't have its own bathroom.

The place was lovely and clean, and the staff looked after us so well. We had a wonderful stay.
