Portsalon Private Lodge

Spent 8 nights here and had a great time. The gardens are sprawling and the air is fresh. Staff were kind and awesome, and everything from booking through check-in and check-out was quick and easy. Some of them even became good friends. Awesome people.

We loved staying at PortSalon and would definitely come back. I was there with another couple for a friend's wedding in December, and Victoria was quick to respond while we were booking. She offered to arrange airport pickup and gave us useful advice about FX rates so we wouldn't get ripped off using USD or our bank cards. The grounds are beautiful, private, and quiet, and the lodge feels like a home away from home. There are single and queen rooms, a pool, and tennis courts. Dorothy and Tendai were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is included and a treat, and lunch or dinner can be arranged for an extra fee. It's a 30-minute walk to a shopping centre with a grocery store, electronics, post office, markets, cafes, restaurants, and bars. I'd highly recommend it if you're traveling to Harare.

The gardens are huge, the food is delicious, and the staff are gentle and caring. It's a peaceful setting in the city, where you wake to birds instead of cars.

I spent 2 nights here after my wedding. The place is private and quiet, with a great location and service. The meals were good too. Worth every dollar.
