A good spot for a peaceful night's rest, with fair prices and great service. One of the few guesthouses still run professionally.

I was out of my room for just five minutes while it was being cleaned. My RayBan sunglasses were on the desk, but they were gone when I came back. The team offered a lot of excuses, including that "the cleanerer isn't working today," and none of it made sense. They didn't seem to care that I felt something had been stolen. Outside, the whole country made me feel I had to stay paranoid. Street lights barely worked. In the dark, cars would stop 100 meters ahead, shout something at me, then drive away. Worst place in the world.

The location was convenient, and our team had a good one-night stay. Service was standard, with no problems.

For $40, I expected much better. The mattress sagged, the pillowcases were filthy and clearly hadn't been changed after the previous guest, and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly. Free WiFi, DStv, and a warm shower were the only decent amenities. This place felt like a total rip-off and needs serious improvement.

The rooms are clean and quiet, with a coffee corner, fridge, and fan. The standard is good, and I love The Palace Guest and fully recommend it. Breakfast, non-alcoholic drinks, and alcoholic beverages are sold right there, which is very convenient. The location is okay, but the road there gets too congested.
