The restaurant’s fine dining is worth trying. The lodge itself is striking, built in the style of the ancient city of Great Zimbabwe, with a huge room and super-comfortable beds that fit the African design.

The rooms are roomy and pleasantly designed, with both a shower and a bath and plenty of hot water. There is heating, though not enough power points. The lodge’s decor is tasteful and clearly inspired by Great Zimbabwe, and the green surroundings offer lovely views from many spots. Staff were very helpful. A pure pleasure of a stay in the Great Zimbabwe and Masvingo area.

The staff were really nice and helpful, and we had a lovely stay. The lodge is beautifully done in a style that suits Zimbabwe Ruins. The rooms were a little dark, so better lighting would help.

Being away from the noisy town made the place feel so calm and soothing. I loved the views and really enjoyed my time there.

The sunrise and sunset views are spectacular, and the lodge sits right beside the Great Zimbabwe ruins, making it a lovely base for exploring the history and scenery. Its stone-inspired architecture fits the surroundings, and the rooms are clean, cosy, and thoughtfully styled with local heritage in mind. Staff were welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. Such a tranquil, distinctive place to stay.
