Edem Guest House

We chose the budget option at Eden Guesthouse and ended up liking it. The large house has three floors, a fountain with fish, a swing, and a spacious yard. Anaida Semenovna made delicious breakfasts, was polite, and did not act rudely. If you want the room cleaned, you just ask, and they wash the floors and change the linens. Laundry costs extra. The sea is 15-20 minutes away, with places to eat and buy necessities along the route. Our room was next to a pump, which made it noisy all night with the window open. It was also damp and humid, so sleeping was difficult and your lungs won't thank you for it. One review called the dog small, but he has grown and can knock you over. 😊

We stayed for a week on the third floor and had a large terrace that was perfect for breakfasts and evening gatherings. The rooms were clean, and towels, bedding, and a hairdryer were provided. Anaida Semenova was kind and helped us in many ways. We had none of the problems described by some other guests. She even saw us off and hugged us like family. Anyone expecting towel swans will miss the point, because everything else was perfect.

This three-story guesthouse is about 20 minutes from the sea, but the triple room was awful. It had a double bed and a single bed with a terrible squeaky mattress, only one nightstand, and a shower curtain rod that kept slipping down. The kitchen was filthy. Guests washed their own dishes, while the cupboards, handles, and wastebaskets were dirty and sitting on the countertop. With no storage space, dishes stayed there in water. There were only two knives, one kettle, and a stove that didn't work, leaving an old hotplate that took at least half an hour to cook scrambled eggs. Even the instant porridge they gave us took about thirty minutes. At checkout, we were accused of breaking both the shower curtain rod and the air conditioner.

The biggest problem was the hostess. She was rude, arrogant, and unpleasant, and we definitely won't return or recommend her. The room itself was cozy, though the air conditioner kept leaking and the TV only worked sometimes. That wasn't a major issue because we hardly stayed in the room. My son says the guesthouse was simply disgusting 🤢🤢🤢🤢 and the attitude was disgusting too.
