After four trips around Abkhazia and stays in both hotels and private accommodations, Pekan Guesthouse remains our favorite for price, quality, and comfort. Cafes and shops are close, the roads make it easy to reach, and the grounds are impeccably clean and well maintained. Everything is arranged conveniently for guests, while nights are absolutely peaceful, so sleeping is easy. The hosts clearly care about their work and guests, always offering help and advice. We’ll definitely return and recommend it to everyone.

Pekan is a modern guesthouse where travelers can relax and enjoy a good meal. Guesthouses have welcomed people since ancient times, when trade brought travelers together, and places like this continue that tradition today.

Everything we needed was there, including air conditioning and a refrigerator in the room. The guesthouse was clean, stylish, and tidy, with a fully equipped shared kitchen, although we only used its kettle. A good, inexpensive cafe sits just across the fence, and that’s where we went for breakfast.

The beach was the best along the entire coast, and the sea was wonderful. The food was plentiful and delicious, cooked right in front of you. They work hard to provide the best service, and the hospitality is another big plus. I loved everything!

The food is delicious, although the staff often forgets who ordered what. It’s a very atmospheric family-run place without fixed rules, so things are frequently improvised. That clearly affects the service, but if you aren’t in a hurry, you can still enjoy a pleasant evening.
