We booked this hotel because it was considered the best in the region, and our room cost 20,000 rubles a night. Reception was excellent, but breakfast immediately ruined the impression when I noticed what looked like a bug or cockroach near the plates. Later, my child and I saw huge insects walking around the room and learned that they were bedbugs. At reception, we were told, “Yes, they’re insects, what should we do?” I understand that this may be an infestation the hotel didn’t cause, but guests still could have been warned that the pool was cold. It was 24 degrees and nobody told us. Lunch brought another problem. I ordered a buckwheat éclair on white paper and found a hair on the paper. The food and restaurant are poor, while the maids and reception provide acceptable service. The lobby bartender gave us the wrong change and made inappropriate comments without being asked. The sun loungers are also the cheapest plastic type. That seems unsuitable for a hotel of this size, although perhaps everyone in the Krasnodar region is used to plastic ones.

The grounds and coastline made an excellent impression. The hotel has its own private shore, the sea is only a minute away, and free loungers are always available. There’s plenty of greenery, including bay leaves, conifers, other trees, and palms, with mountains nearby and excellent air. The medical center offers various services, and the staff are responsive and attentive, especially during mud therapy. The dining room was the complete opposite. Management was disorganized, the female manager looked disgruntled and couldn’t control the staff, and employees argued over their duties. Tables were left covered with dirty dishes, sauces were full of flies, food was cold, and even the cutlets, particularly the fish ones, were barely edible. There was variety, but the food was not always tasty and sometimes there was simply nothing to eat. The chicken broth was especially empty at dinner, with no greens, eggs, or even bowls for the first course. We also saw a waiter break a champagne glass. Staff, including the receptionist, walked over it and did not clean it until guests complained. The same waiter handled clean glasses by putting his fingers inside them and carrying four at once. It was disgusting and showed SUCH DISRESPECTFUL ATTITUDE TOWARDS GUESTS!!! The lights were repeatedly switched off for short periods at 9:00 PM. Cleaning staff from building 3 swore in front of guests until reprimanded. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed, but the staff were rude and unruly, and the prices did not match the advertised services.

We spent the first week of September here after carefully choosing a hotel in Abkhazia, and we chose correctly. The setting is stunning, with mountain peaks hanging above the spacious grounds. We stayed in building 3, where everything was new and clean. The room was cleaned daily, the staff were friendly, and the homemade food was varied and very good. We’ll come back.
