Kurortny Hotel Skyterra Park-Otel

This was my first time in New Athos, although my parents visit regularly. I came away delighted. The reception staff were very friendly, and the guys working in the restaurant bar were especially lovely. We had only good experiences. We also took excursions with Alkhas from Welcome Abkhazia. He was a wonderful guide, showed us unforgettable places, took lots of great photos, and taught us about local traditions. He can also arrange a transfer from the airport to the hotel. His attitude toward everyone is excellent, so I recommend him to anyone.

Today is August 27, 2025, and we're on our third day here. I like both the food and the room. Everything is clean and tasty, and for this price I'm very pleased. Special thanks to the waiter Daniil and the bartender Kakha)

The clean, spacious rooms and heated pool made this a good place for a quiet September holiday. The staff were polite and helpful, and we especially liked the bartender Misha at the nearby restaurant. Our sea-view room was wonderful. A monastery, waterfall, and Stalin's dacha are close by. The beach is clean and usually uncrowded, with a shuttle available from the hotel. Walking there is also possible along the Sinners' Path. I'd recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

The peaceful setting was one of our favorite things. The hotel is away from the busy road, surrounded by palms, cypresses, and other greenery, with plenty of room to walk around, sit, or relax. The sea is a 15-20-minute walk downhill, though the return takes a little longer. Several major Abkhazian sights are nearby, including Stalin's dacha, the New Athos Monastery, the New Athos Caves, and the abandoned Ptsyrkha station. Meals in the dining room were simple, delicious, and home-style, and we looked forward to them every day. Everyone was kind and ready to help, from reception and the dining room to the maids, grounds staff, and bus driver. Special thanks to Maria, Sarah, the young man at reception, the girl serving food in the cafeteria, San Sanych, and Zhanna. Your hospitality helped us understand the phrase "Abkhazia is a country of the soul." We visited Abkhazia for the first time in June 2021 and fell in love with the country. Olga, Anita, Nadezhda, and Arseniy will definitely come back next summer. We recommend this hotel to everyone.
