Mini Hotel Vavilon

If negative stars were possible, I'd give them. We booked New Athos in advance after relying on the website, maps, and reviews. The photos suggested something modest but clean, with tiled rooms, white bedding, and a beautiful wide beach. The reality was completely different. We paid a deposit by bank transfer in spring, and, spoiler, it was not refunded. When we arrived, nobody met us. We had to enter the courtyard and search for the "administrator." The room we were shown had supposedly been cleaned, but it was unsanitary and awful. Black mold covered the bathroom, even though it can apparently be removed with Domestos and a sponge. We saw a girl enter with only a window spray and a rag, leave with the bed linen, and do nothing else. There was no vacuuming or wet cleaning. There was mold, dust, coffee spilled inside the refrigerator, hair everywhere, sand, and trash. The advertised sea view amounted to a small piece of horizon. The room was stuffy and humid. The courtyard was a mess, and the website photos were from the old building, which was already occupied. The on-site "canteen" was also dirty. Women served food with dirt under their fingernails, the tables were sticky, and the walls and windows were stained. Cooking and grilling shashlik were forbidden. After we complained, the administrator said, "You're only staying there overnight, so what difference does it make?" When we asked for our money back and explained that nobody had expected us or cleaned the room, she called it "human error" and told us to forget it and check in. No human error can restore my health or my mood for the rest of the holiday. They did leave a bottle of wine in the room for free, perhaps hoping guests would drink it and ignore everything else. I have plenty more I could say, including swear words, but I'll leave that to the conscience of the administrator and maintenance staff. I feel sorry for the people who stayed there and were deceived by the photos and 5-star reviews. The beach is reached by stairs, with waves crashing against them, so sunbathing isn't very comfortable. The only good thing was the Wi-Fi, which helped me quickly find another hotel nearby with completely different conditions. I saw the other place but couldn't attach it, so I took screenshots.
