Anana Hotel

The hotel is quiet, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with varied breakfasts and genuinely wonderful staff. Our superior room had both a sofa and a bed, and everything was well-equipped, from the clean sauna and pleasant pool to the good bedding and towels. It suits travelers with cars especially well because parking is plentiful and access is easy. The hotel is on a hill, though, so reaching upper floors means climbing stairs, which could be difficult for guests with health problems. It is a little away from the sea, but that wasn't a major issue for us in Sukhum, since the coastline water is dirty and clean beaches require leaving the city. The price is high, but the quality feels worthwhile by both Abkhazian and international service standards.

We stayed in family room number 4 and loved how cozy and comfortable it was. The bathroom even had heated floors, and our entrance from the courtyard was both beautiful and practical. The pool was a huge hit with the children. Every day brought a tasty, varied breakfast served on beautiful dishes, and the courtyard bar on the second level had a good menu. From the balcony, we could see the city and the sea. The hotel is 10-15 minutes on foot from the center through pleasant streets, and the kind girls at reception welcomed us and saw us off warmly. A beautiful, comfortable hotel that made me fall in love with Abkhazia, its greenery, the sea, Sukhum, and this place.

Elena, the manager, is very customer-oriented, and the pool doesn't have a chemical smell. This really feels like a boutique hotel, with a spacious family room and new furniture and fixtures. The drawbacks are that the sea is not especially close, even though it can be reached on foot, and the modern building materials don't provide very good soundproofing.

The breakfasts are excellent, and guests can use the pool as much as they like. There is also a sauna and a billiards room. We stayed in room 501, which had a hairdryer, robes, slippers, toothbrushes, two safes, tea-making facilities, and two bottles of water. The main inconvenience is the spiral staircase to the third floor, since there is no elevator.
