Our daughters were crying at the pool entrance after being told they couldn’t swim, even though they were already wearing their swimsuits. We had booked this hotel for a short family break specifically because the spa and pool looked like something we could enjoy together. The girls are only 3 years old, and after the long journey we were really looking forward to relaxing there. The booking process and hotel website never clearly said that children could stay at the hotel but would be forbidden from using the pool. When we explained that the pool was the main reason we had chosen the place and that we had travelled a long way, the staff showed no flexibility or empathy. They wouldn’t make even a one-hour exception. The whole thing felt misleading and heartbreaking. For a hotel that presents itself as welcoming and relaxing, the way this was handled was extremely disappointing and frankly unacceptable. We left feeling frustrated, misled, and very disappointed.

We left exhausted after a night the hotel completely failed to control. Our neighbors shouted, smoked in their room, played music, and repeatedly slammed doors. We called the manager at 2 AM. The music stopped for a short time, but the shouting, smoking, and banging continued until 6 AM, with no further action from the hotel. This was supposed to be a birthday stay for my wife, something I had mentioned clearly beforehand, yet nobody acknowledged it or offered any gesture. The following morning there was no apology or contact. We had to ask to be moved. One manager said it could be done, another claimed there were no rooms, and only after we insisted were we finally relocated. Later, the manager told us proudly that the neighbors had received a €120 fine, but that did nothing to restore our ruined night. For a property calling itself five-star, protecting guests’ comfort and dealing properly with problems should be basic. This hotel failed at both, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Mihai Balaj made a real difference to our stay. He was patient, kind, and generous with his time, helping us sort out transportation and other logistics. His support was genuinely thoughtful and had a very positive effect on our trip. From arrival onward, the whole staff treated us with great care and welcomed us warmly. This kind of service feels like real hospitality, and I’m very grateful. I’d definitely recommend the hotel.

The one-hour spa access was an absolute godsend, and the rest of the amenities were great too. We had a fantastic stay at Grand Plaza Hotel. The bed was comfortable, the toilet was clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Julio. Definitely worth staying here and highly recommended. ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️
