Suites Plaza Hotel & Wellness

The hotel’s best feature is its location, close to the bus station and within easy walking distance of the old town. The small-pool spa was a nice bonus too. My room was somewhat dated but reasonably maintained, although finding a long hair on the bidet at check-in was an unpleasant first impression. Service was the main weakness. The evening receptionist was friendly when I arrived, but couldn’t answer basic questions about the area. She didn’t know where to suggest for dinner, couldn’t give directions after I chose a restaurant, and couldn’t explain the cuisine or lunch opening hours of the hotel restaurant. On departure morning, she also rejected my late-checkout request immediately, without checking availability or explaining the policy. It was a weekday in June, outside peak season, and the hotel didn’t seem busy.

Our suite at Suites Plaza Hotel & Wellness Andorra was roomy, spotless, and very comfortable. The hotel is close to the city center but still calm, and breakfast had plenty of tasty choices. The wellness area was a real highlight. We could book a private one-hour spa session and had the whole relaxation area to ourselves, which was wonderfully peaceful after exploring Andorra. We’d gladly recommend this hotel for relaxing and seeing the region.

We booked this hotel specifically because every website, including hotels.com, advertised a swimming pool. My five-year-old boy and I planned to use it, but access wasn’t possible because the pool was fully booked. The booking information said massages and spa treatments had to be reserved in advance, not the pool. A swimming pool isn’t a treatment, and the staff didn’t care about that distinction. Their only response was that it’s a spa and therefore needs booking, which went nowhere. We wasted our money, and the hotel needs to be open and honest because families choose it based on the advertised pool.

Everything was clean from check-in through the room, and the employees were very professional. The room suited us perfectly, including the nice crib they provided for our baby, and the bed was comfortable. The location was ideal for walking to most sights around Andorra la Vella. For a 5 star hotel in an expensive country, the price was especially reasonable. We’d definitely come back.
