Hotel Spa Princesa Parc

The hotel was a great choice for my first ski trip with children. There were playrooms for different ages, a large lobby with a bar, a spa, good food and comfortable rooms, so both the kids and adults had plenty to enjoy. Everything was very clean and the hotel had a lovely citrus smell. The staff were kind, helpful and service-minded. The gondola is only a short walk away, and our prebooked ski passes were ready when we arrived. The rooms became a little warm at night, but opening the windows solved that. I'd recommend it for families and for guests of any age.

The spa and wellness centre were excellent, the design was tasteful and comfortable, and the kids enjoyed the arcade. We also liked the friendly bar, where prices were reasonable. The gondola is about five minutes away. Unfortunately, the food was the biggest weakness. Both the extensive evening buffet and the breakfast offered plenty of choice, but much of it was poor quality, and the dinner was overpriced. We ate out every night after trying it once. Louis XV was the exception, and we had a lovely meal there. Our room in Princesa Parc was tired and needed repairs. Getting there from the main hotel was awkward, involving two lifts and a walk-through. Excellence costs a little more but appears much better, particularly the recently renovated top two floors with balconies or terraces. I'd recommend the hotel only if you're happy eating out, surviving on breakfast croissants and going without an indoor pool.

The mountain view and location are excellent, and breakfast was pleasant with a very varied selection. The room itself was clean enough, though it could have been prepared better, and there was no room service, with the phone seeming purely decorative. The staff experience was poor apart from Daniel and Pauline, who were friendly and smiled at us. The others were rude and appeared not to want us there. Guests were even pushed out of the spa when the lights were turned off while people were still getting dressed. Information was unclear, including spa prices and even basic skiing details. There was also no food after 10 PM, and food wasn't allowed in the rooms.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and breakfast was absolutely delicious. Staff were warm and friendly throughout the visit, while the service overall was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.
