Aparthotel Esquirol

The views are wonderful and there’s a fireplace, but the service was terrible. The welcome cleaning was poor, and the three reception staff on different shifts all had the same bad attitude. We had warned them five months earlier about our allergies, yet when we found the loft covered in dust, they avoided responsibility and blamed the housekeeper and Airbnb. It was barely cleaned the next day. The Wi-Fi also made remote work impossible, since they said it was only intended for WhatsApp messages and a couple of emails. At least I’d downloaded Paquita Salas. When we returned for the key handover, they again said it wasn’t their problem and that Airbnb had to deal with it. I just hope they don’t keep the €100 deposit they held over the rubbish. GTF?!

For our long weekend, the apartment offered a very good combination of location, service, and comfort. It had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, plenty of space, and views toward the El Tarter ski slopes. The only real problem was the sofa bed, which dipped when someone sat down and should be replaced.

We were due to stay on the 20th, but the agency confirmed that it had no operating license and was cancelling every reservation. The worst part was waiting until the last moment to tell us, leaving us without a place to stay. Fortunately, we reacted quickly and booked a backup, so that caused us no trouble, but they should be ashamed.

This is a magnificent aparthotel directly opposite Tarter train station, with superb views and amenities. There are several very comfortable rooms, as well as a spa, sauna, and Turkish bath. We’ll definitely return. Highly recommended.
