Apartaments Crest Pas

This is really a two-star place. The room was generally clean and the location was acceptable, but the kitchen had barely any equipment, only around two forks for four people. Hot water was the main problem because it could hardly handle several showers one after another. The ski room is simply a room.

Our top-floor room had an amazing panoramic mountain view, with the ski slope base and chairlifts partly visible from the little triangular balcony. The building has five floors, a reception, and a snack bar with a few table games. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and needed a little cosmetic repair, but it was functional, with simple beds arranged closely together. The kitchenette included an induction hob, toaster, microwave, and basic utensils. The bathroom was spacious enough and nicely heated. Wi-Fi is only suitable for very light media use, or best avoided altogether. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The apartment was clean and as expected, so that part gets top marks. The fridge, however, took me two hours to defrost. It had so much ice that the compartment was deformed and the door wouldn't close properly, creating even more ice. Several small repairs were also needed: the wardrobe handle was hanging off, the bedside light didn't work, and the saucepan handles were loose. My trusty multi-tool came in handy.

The room was dark and gloomy, with drab dark-blue paint, missing light covers, and heaters hanging off the wall. The walls were paper-thin, making everything noisy and echoey, including drunk people banging on the door and waking us up. I'm staying somewhere much nicer tonight for 40% less.
