Vip Plus

The location is handy, close to Funicamp, supermarkets, and other shops, and the food is pretty good even if it isn't spectacular. The staff were easily the best part: friendly, helpful, and very attentive. They tried to deal with every problem we raised, so my criticism is about management and the lack of investment, not the people working there. The hotel feels stuck in time. The walls are incredibly thin, so even ordinary conversations carry through. We had a week of constant noise from groups of young holidaymakers, shouting, banging doors, and running in the halls from 6:40 AM until late at night. Food wasn't labeled, which meant guessing or asking what things were. And each time we arrived, we had to ask reception to open the garage gate.

Breakfast was plentiful and good, and the room was spotless and warm. It did feel a little dated, though I actually liked that style. The staff were lovely, and we had a lovely stay. I'd readily recommend the hotel.

The free ski bus comes three times an hour, with a stop 30m from the hotel and two stops to the Encamp lift. There’s parking and ski lockers in the basement, too. A good spot to stay overnight after skiing, with great food and staff who were mostly very helpful. Communication was only in English. Recommended for most.

The Funicamp is within easy walking distance, which is a real plus. We were especially grateful to the cooks: breakfast and dinner were excellent, and there was something different each day. Vegetarians, meat eaters, and fish lovers could all find tasty choices, with several options in each group. Highly recommended!
