Confort Pas de la Casa

I brought a group of 90 British students to the Alaska recently, and the team made sure everything was taken care of. Everyone was welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable, and the location was very convenient, which made it a great choice for a ski trip with young students. I’d happily recommend the hotel for group travel and am looking forward to visiting again. A huge thank you to hotel director Axel and his Alaska team: Braian, Bruno, Kevin, Sol, Mayra and Natalia.

It’s a two-minute walk around the corner to the ski base. Rooms are clean and have everything you need, though they’re functional rather than luxurious. Check-in and checkout were both easy, even after hours. After checkout, they let us store our bags and use the spa downstairs to change after skiing.

The staff were kind throughout the hotel and restaurant, and the front desk service was great. The cleaning team kept the rooms spotless, and the chefs clearly know their stuff. Food was cooked really well, with a wide choice for different diets and tolerances, plus a great mix of local and traditional dishes. Drinks cost a little more than you might expect, but were still completely worth it. Every room had a great TV, and the mountain view from each one was mind-blowing. Beds, sofas, and chairs were all comfortable, and the rooms came with every facility you could need except laundry. The bath and shower were warm, comfortable, and spacious, and the room was cleaned perfectly before and during our stay. The spa is beautiful and luxurious, with very comfortable chairs. There’s also cheap, basic entertainment downstairs, including 8-ball pool. The boot room is a little cramped but still works well. This is easily one of the best places I’ve stayed, and it’s set a high bar for the places I choose in future.

The saunas cost extra, which I’ve never come across in 10-15 years of staying at four-star ski hotels. This one isn’t cheap, either. We had two large apartments for our family and got the Mountain View apartments we’d booked, but they also faced a noisy street with three bars open until 2-3 a.m. The windows did nothing to block the noise, so sleeping was very difficult. Most of the reception staff weren’t very friendly, sometimes rude, and didn’t know basic things like the parking terms or nearby supermarkets. They lied about room occupancy and refused to move us.
