The room was dirty, with filthy blankets covered in marks, dark stains on the white towels, and hair in the bathroom. The street-facing room was also noisy enough that you could hear every car and motorcycle, so bring earplugs if you want to sleep. Wi-Fi kept cutting out or ran slowly, and the fridge may have been broken or simply not cold. The hairdryer was broken too. Check-in was chaotic. When we returned, there was a very long queue, and the receptionist allowed people to push in. Even though most of us had checked in online, it took nearly an hour to get a key. Before that, we had left our luggage for the afternoon, but the receptionist placed it to the side where anyone could have taken it. Customer service was poor when we tried to change our hiking dates after my partner was injured. Booking.com showed our request, and the hotel said we would hear back within hours, but there was no response. Calls went unanswered or we were told to call again. One day before the booking, the hotel claimed there were no rooms for the dates, even though the app still allowed us to book them. The location was not ideal either, about a 30-minute walk from the centre, with no taxis in sight and only occasional buses. Also, our mobile SIMS did not work in Andorra, and we were told most of the rest of Europe has the same problem and needs a local SIM.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels. We also enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. Lovely hotel.

Parking was the first problem. Although booking.com showed parking available and a 7.6 rattlings rating, there was no space when we reached the gate. We drove around for two hours and eventually found an expensive spot 2 kilometres away. Inside, the bathroom flush did not work properly, and the door key stopped working after one use. We had to go up and down from the 4th floor several times to get it working. The staff were very rude, and the atmosphere felt unhygienic. I would never stay here.

I paid €360 for three nights at Hotel Alegria Andorra, room only, and had a terrible stay. The bathroom ceiling was severely damaged, with water stains, moss, holes, and debris falling into the toilet. It was completely unhygienic and unsafe. There was no shampoo, just two bath soaps, and the Wi-Fi did not work. The room phone was also non-functional, so I couldn't call reception and had to go downstairs whenever I needed to report something. A group of school children was placed on my floor, shouting and running around all evening without staff intervention. When I reported everything at reception, customer service was dismissive and responded with denials and excuses. Management even refused to acknowledge the photo evidence I sent of the room's horrible condition. Getting in touch with customer service only made me angrier because my comments were dismissed. Despite being advertised as 4-star, the hotel failed at basic cleanliness, amenities, and service. I would never stay again and don't recommend it. ⭐ 1/5, absolutely not worth the price.
