The breakfast buffet was the highlight, with plenty of choice for everyone and views over the Valira river from the breakfast room. The beds were comfortable, although the decor feels a little old-fashioned. Staff were friendly, and the small spa is worth using. I’d also pay for the private secure parking. Very good location.

The rooms themselves are acceptable for a 3-star hotel, but the price doesn’t match the value. Ours looked onto what seemed like a slum, while other rooms face the street, so I’m not sure which view is worse. There are many extra charges that aren’t clearly mentioned. The website suggests parking is included, but it costs €20 per day. The small car park is also far from the hotel and requires a 250m uphill walk. It’s especially bad with a larger car, and there’s no electric charger. The spa depends on availability and only has a sauna, hammam and jacuzzi. The sauna was fine, but using it cost extra for 45 minutes and had to be booked a day ahead. Breakfast was okay. Dinner was poor value, €23 without alcohol, with extra charges for some dishes, bringing it to around €40 per person. The hotel is on the road, so the air is full of exhaust fumes. The information provided can’t really be relied on.

Our room had a lovely view over the river, and the hotel is an easy walk from the main shopping area. Breakfast was varied and delicious, and the staff were friendly. We didn’t use the spa, but we really enjoyed staying here and would definitely return.
