1 Bedroom Apartment in La Vista 3

The common spaces in the building are nice and well maintained, but my apartment had recurring drainage trouble. I stayed in room 411, where water often leaked from below the kitchen cabinet into the kitchen after I used the washing machine. The owner's maintenance team tried to fix it, but it kept happening. They said it was caused by a plumbing construction fault.

We’ve had a really bad experience trying to get building management to resolve the issue in unit 614 Lavista 3. The intercom has been out for almost three weeks, and management hasn’t helped. Reporting it feels useless. We’re now in the process of filing a case against building management in the land department.

“NO SENSOR IN ELEVATOR”. Today my hand got stuck, and unlike most elevators, the doors didn’t open back up. They just closed. Thankfully, I managed to press the open door sign and get them to open, or I might have died. It’s unimaginable that an apartment this expensive has no sensor, or such a poor sensor system, when even basic buildings would have one. THIS SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF DUBAI GOVERNMENT/ RESPECTIVE OFFICIALS. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN TO ANYONE.

Living here, I paid an average of 850 a month for a one bedroom, much more than other buildings nearby. It’s an old building, and I think the outdated AC equipment is why DEWA bills are so high. The apartments can look fine at first, but the maintenance quality seems low once you move in. There’s definitely no soundproofing: I could hear footsteps from neighbors upstairs or next door. If you rent here, know that security acts as management’s representative, and contacting management is useless because they’re not cooperative. Get on good terms with security and life in the building will be quiet, otherwise it may not be 🤪.
