2 Bedroom Apartment Marina

After staying here twice, I can say this is still my first choice in Dubai. The apartments are huge, the location and facilities are great, and the service made a lasting impression. It feels like home, and I’ll most likely stay here again next time. We travelled with family and relatives both times, so we needed room to spread out and a kitchen. Restaurants in Dubai can be expensive, especially for a group, and with all the markets around, being able to cook fresh ingredients felt like part of the experience. The value for the quality is why we came back. Our views were great both times, either over the motorway and metro station or Dubai Marina harbour. For this price range, the location is hard to beat. It’s right in Dubai Marina amid restaurants, about a five-minute walk from Dubai Marina Metro Station, with the tram nearby for getting around the Marina and down to Marina Beach. The two outdoor pools are surrounded by palms and Marina skyscrapers. One is shallow for small children, about knee-deep for an adult, and the larger one seemed to go down to around two metres. The gym is unusually well equipped and has a squash court/wall; guests can borrow rackets and balls for free. I think there’s also a sauna or steam room, though I didn’t use it on either visit because Dubai is hot enough already. There’s a large, two-storey underground car park with roomy spaces, so parking doesn’t require stressful precision and the car stays out of the sun. Gates and cameras protect it, and elevators go straight to your floor. The staff’s service really surprised us. After hours exploring Dubai one day, we stopped at a fish market in the evening and got back late and hungry, planning to bake the fresh fish. The oven didn’t work, so we called reception expecting advice. A staff member arrived within minutes, cleaned and tested it, and confirmed it was broken. As a European, I thought it would be repaired the next day. Instead, he asked us to wait fifteen minutes. He returned fifteen minutes later with several staff and a brand-new oven. It was nearly 1 AM, but they took out the old one, installed the new one, connected it, and checked it was working perfectly. We were stunned and started laughing because the service felt unreal. The fish was great, and that late-night meal became one of the best of our trip. Our second stay happened during military conflict in nearby countries, which made the tourist experience a bit scary. The hotel staff and UAE goverment were fantastic, offering guidance and support. They also helped guests who couldn’t leave as planned by providing discounts where possible. The building is relatively small beside the giant towers around it, which somehow made it feel safer, almost protected by them.

The staff deserve a mention for their kindness and professionalism. The hotel is clean and well placed in the Marina, with grocery stores, restaurants, and cafes nearby. Sobha Realty metro station is a 5-7 minute walk away. Rooms are spacious, and the bed has very comfortable mattresses with two pillows for each seat, one soft and one firmer. There’s also a swimming pool with a wonderful view.

Our stay was disappointing because the customer service and communication were poor. Before booking, we confirmed that guests could come to the apartment. At check-in, we were suddenly told that the two-bedroom apartment allowed only 6 guests, with a total limit of 10 people including the 4 staying overnight. That had not been properly explained before we booked, so arrival became stressful and confusing. Staff were unhelpful, couldn’t explain the rule clearly, and gave conflicting answers. The lack of coordination and transparency made what should have been a smooth stay feel badly managed. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone expecting reliable service and honest communication.

The basement parking is good, and the location is excellent, just 100m from the marina promenade, restaurants, and boat rides. The rooms, though, are looking dated and worn. The TV seemed close to giving out, and the shower is over the bath. The place felt tired and ready for an upgrade.
