Dear Management of Channel Front Residences 7A, I’m writing about the morning shift security guard at Channel Front Residences 7A. For some time, the same guard has repeatedly knocked and rung my apartment door early in the morning, usually between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM, especially on weekends. The reasons given haven’t been urgent or justified. These visits wake everyone in my household, including small children. The repeated disruption affects our rest and creates unnecessary stress for my family. This is unacceptable and not an appropriate way to interact with residents. Please conduct an internal review, make sure residents aren’t disturbed early in the morning without a legitimate and urgent reason, and give security staff clear instructions on communicating with residents professionally and respectfully. I’d also like written confirmation that the issue has been addressed and that similar incidents won’t happen again. I trust management will take this seriously and act promptly.

The location is the only reason I’m giving this one star. The lifts feel like the most unsafe ones I’ve ever used, and booking the maintenance team is difficult. Even after I’ve submitted the same request more than four times, they still haven’t fixed the job. Worst of all, a sewage smell drifts through the halls and into the bedrooms at random times during the week. It’s embarrassing when guests are over and miserable when you’re paying such an overpriced rate for a sewage water ambience. Please stay away from these canal front residences if you can. You can find cheaper places with much better quality.

The view of the Burj is hard to enjoy when I’m trying to relax, though that can’t really be helped. There’s construction across the canal, but I’m surprisingly never able to hear it. The lights are a separate problem because they’re often on, though blackout curtains fix that easily. I’ve lived in building 8 for four months. It started badly when my upstairs neighbor began a full condo renovation, and the construction is still going on nonstop. Drilling is rare now, and when it happens I call the police to report it and it stops right away. They can only do construction from 10-5. Lately I’d hoped the building would improve, but I’m paying for a lot that’s unavailable or subpar. The elevator is always dirty. There’s no service elevator, so they’ve covered one elevator, and it smells so bad that I refuse to use it and wait for the other one. That one is dirty too. The pool they said would be working months ago still isn’t, and neither the steam room nor the sauna works. The gym is unfinished and still lacks the extra equipment I was told they’d add. A lot of tenants asked for a bench, but instead we got a shabby, dangerous one that broke while I was mid lift. My back still hurts. The water doesn’t get very hot and doesn’t stay hot for long, so drawing a hot bath is out of the question. I’ve made a couple of requests with Google to register Canal front residence 8, but the Building or Owner still hasn’t done it. That makes it really hard to order a taxi. Deliveries may also end up on the other side of the canal. The building owner could easily fix this by registering their business the same way they did with this one and with building 9.
