We paid 180 AED in advance for two beds for five days, then discovered that the address on our Hostelworld confirmation and email said Satwa, nearly 30 KM from the JBR location shown on Google Maps. Instagram says the building is Sadaf (JBR), and the listing refers to Sadaf-2 buiilding. How can it be Satwa, JBR, and Sadaf-2 buiilding? There isn't even a listing on their website. This is a serious misrepresentation of the location. When we called the number listed on Hostelworld to ask about the mismatch, someone answered from India, not UAE. Instead of explaining, he verbally abused us. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. He gave us a so-called “manager” number for Akhilesh, but no one answered our calls. As of 3 Feb 2026, there has been no resolution, explanation, or refund. This doesn't seem like how a legitimate hostel should operate. The location listings are fake, calls are handled by someone abusive, and there's no accountability. Travelers should stay away and avoid risking their money or trip. Please investigate and shut this down before anyone else gets scammed.
