The room cost 125 aed, and I’d hoped for at least somewhere decent. Instead, it was mouldy, the toilets were filthy, and there were bed bugs and bugs all over the kitchen. There was barely room to move. The place smelled awful from the lack of ventilation, and the bedsheets smelled like someone had just vomited on them 🥲. Someone in the neighboring room shouted all night, so I couldn’t sleep. I know it’s a hostel, but I expect basic hygiene and cleanliness without infection risks, a decent quiet environment, and a fair price. None of those were there. For the same amount or a little more, I could have stayed at a much better hotel. I couldn’t take the smell, noise, or claustrophobic room, even for a couple of hours. Worst place I’ve stayed, and I’d never recommend it.

For the prices they offer, the beds are neat and it’s almost perfect as a place to crash. They clean every day, and the toilets work 100%. There are two high-speed router connections covering the whole area, except the balcony in the kitchen. I’d suggest adding an extension or repeater device. If you decide to go, look for Mushahid.

I had money, food, and earrings stolen. The same key opened every locker, and with no cameras anywhere in the hostel, no reception, and an apartment door that was always open, it didn’t feel safe. The owner was never on site. It was really dirty and smelly, and there were no women there at all. This was the worst, dirtiest hostel I’ve ever been in. Run away, don’t go. Trust me.

Mr. Jawaid was a kind and helpful host, and I’d definitely stay here whenever I visit Dubai. It’s very affordable and in a strategic spot, with the metro, bus stop, supermarket, pharmacy, bank, restaurant, and free parking right at your doorstep. Great place to stay in DXB.
