Studio # 216 was a little slice of paradise, with a spotless, beautifully decorated apartment and everything we needed. Waking up to that sweeping sea view was unforgettable. Alice made the stay, though. She was the most welcoming and helpful host we’ve had, with thoughtful recommendations and quick, friendly communication. Her kindness and attention to detail made us feel at home and turned this lovely property into a five-star experience. We can’t recommend it enough! Booked via booking.com.

Palm Views West is one of two five-storey buildings in the Palm Views project on Palm Jumeirah, a man-made island. It has contemporary pied-a-terre style apartments with large balconies overlooking the waterfront community and Dubai skyline. Residents have plenty of underground parking and multiple high-speed elevators. The building offers 24-hour security, CCTV, central air-conditioning and maintenance services. There’s a clubhouse for activities, a conference room for business meetings, a well-equipped gym, swimming pool and health club. Other amenities include retail outlets, a kids’ play area and a welcoming lobby with a 24-hour front desk. Pets are allowed. Restaurants, Al Ittihad Park and Nakheel Mall are a short drive away.

This was the worst restaurant choice, for the second time. On our first visit, we had no reservation and they wouldn’t let us in. The next time we did have a reservation, but we were just one minute late and they canceled it and refused us entry. I’ve never seen a restaurant act like this, with no manners or welcoming attitude. I won’t go back.
