This was meant to be my parents' first international trip, and we were traveling as a group of 15, including children and senior citizens. We arrived around 12:30, but nobody offered a welcome drink or even asked if we wanted water. We had booked six rooms, and they were handed over in installments, leaving family members stranded in the lobby. Three rooms came around 1:30, two around 3, and the last one around 4. If the hotel didn't have rooms, they shouldn't have taken the bookings. Poor handling ruined our whole day. After that hard day, we got back at night and were asked to pay a per-day service charge. We didn't refuse, but he kept our passports, making it feel like he wouldn't return them unless we paid right then. Pathetic customer handling.

Our group of 15 had to wait while the hotel gave us our rooms one by one. With children and elderly people with us, the delays ruined the day. The extra bed was also awful, with springs sticking out, and there was a hot water problem: both bathroom taps only gave hot water. The hotel was under renovation, with loud drilling from early morning that made it impossible to rest. When we asked for cutlery, staff first refused and said it would cost extra. Then they gave us thermocol plates but still wouldn't provide glasses. We complained repeatedly about these problems, but nothing was resolved.

The location of Carlton Tower Hotel Dubai Deira Creek was excellent, with everything nearby and easy to reach. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Mr. Bala deserves special thanks for his kind, helpful nature and for always being ready to assist. He made an already pleasant stay even more comfortable. Great service, and I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dubai.

My parents waited for hours in the hallway, and the hotel offered no solution. I'd booked their stay at Carlton hotel through Agoda 14 days in advance, but when they arrived, they were told the hotel wasn't accepting Agoda bookings. Even though the reservation was active, they were refused check-in. STAY AWAY! The service was the worst.

The front desk let me sleep on a lobby couch while I waited for my room after arriving mid-morning. Breakfast was adequate, although hot items were tepid. But the hotel was undergoing renovations, with drilling all day, and its pool was shut. The nearby alternate pool was closed too when I went. Be careful relying on the concierge or bellboy to give a taxi your destination. He gave the driver the wrong street number, which was 15 minutes from the right destination and cost me time and money. Better to write the address down yourself. The hotel never replied to my emails.
