City Premiere Deluxe Hotel Apartments

Our family of four had plenty of room in the spacious two-bedroom unit at City Premiere, and the accommodation was great. The location also worked well, with a train stop nearby and a 24 HR supermarket next door. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. Receptionist Ammar was a gem, treating us with warmth and kindness, and concierge Annand gave stellar service too.

The manager did help in the end: after I showed him the room, he upgraded me to a better one. I appreciated that, and it's the reason this is two stars rather than one. I had considered extending my stay, but the experience changed my mind. I wouldn't return or recommend the hotel, and visitors aren't allowed at all. The problems started at check-in. The receptionist seemed distracted by conversations around the lobby and wasn't focused on helping me. Guest information was also spoken loudly enough for people nearby to hear, which felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. When I tried calling reception later, nobody picked up for around 20-30 minutes, even though the hotel didn't seem busy. I had to go downstairs and ask if anyone was monitoring the phones. The first room was small, dated, and not properly clean, and looked nothing like the online photos. There were visible stains on the couch and elsewhere, and the kitchen appliances looked extremely old and worn. During the stay I also found a cockroach. Housekeeping seemed inconsistent unless I specifically requested it, and there was construction noise nearby. The pool area was very poor for a supposed 4-star hotel. Based on this experience, I wouldn't consider it a real 4-star hotel.

The apartment size and the metro location were good, but cleanliness, maintenance, and how some staff treated us made the stay stressful. We wouldn't choose this place again unless major improvements are made. We first booked a Standard One Bedroom apartment. It looked fine initially, but I woke up with insect bites every morning. After several days, it became clear there were bed bugs in the bed, ruining our sleep and comfort. That felt unacceptable given the price and reputation. We moved to a Premier One Bedroom apartment, hoping things would improve, but one chair was broken and unstable. I nearly fell and hit the table. Some kitchen plates were chipped, and two cups were scratched, old-looking, and poorly maintained. Those details made the apartment seem neglected and unchecked before guests arrived. Some reception staff also had a rude, unprofessional attitude. One female receptionist and one male staff member spoke without warmth or respect, as if guests were bothering them. We didn't feel valued or respected, and good service matters in hospitality. The apartments are spacious and well-equipped, and the metro station is very close, making it easy to get around Dubai. Those were about the only major positives.

The hotel is large, but the reception service was poor and left guests feeling uncomfortable. There was a very respectful woman at reception during the day. On the night shift, though, one Egyptian man and one Filipino man, as far as I know, were extremely rude. The Egyptian staff member kept our ID cards for no reason, and the Filipino staff member said my guests weren't allowed to see me. That struck me as strange and unprofessional. The service was terrible overall, and I strongly recommend staying somewhere else.
