I spent 6 nights at the EasyFlat Hostel in March. It's a nice, clean, friendly place in an ideal location, and one of the cheapest nightly prices in all of Dubai, with discounts too. Noise wasn't a problem for me. I really recommend it.

I liked the cozy feel, the nice wooden furniture, and how comfortable it was. The hostel is in Dubai, not too far from the sea, and I was surprised to find a place this cozy and cheap. If I stay in Dubai again, I'll definitely pick easyflat hostel.
The building is in a good spot, close to the train station and airport, but the surroundings are a bit dirty and feel somewhat creepy in the evening. The staff are fairly friendly, though they couldn't tell me anything about the city, since their job seemed to be just keeping an eye on guests. The kitchen was constantly a mess, with not enough cutlery for three people, and the place overall was extremely dirty and old. The pictures on the website are fake, and “Easyflat Hostel” and “Backpacker Hostel” are the same place, so check both sets of reviews. I stayed two nights last week. The worst part was the bedbugs. The 10-bed dorm had been full of them the week before, so the staff and pest control closed it for a week to clean it. I was the first guest back after cleaning, but they hadn't killed them all. At night, hundreds were crawling up the wall and over the mattresses. Three of the five of us had to change rooms in the night, and the other two guys, who were already asleep, woke up covered in bites. It's a private apartment, full of dirt and bedbugs, and far too expensive. You have to pay to store luggage, for early or late checkout (1 US$ per hour), and for a locker (5 Dirham a day). I can't recommend it. Spend a bit more for a nice Hotel in Dubai.
For Dubai, 27 dollars at easyflat hostel seemed like a good price. The room was clean, and there was free Wi-Fi. The location was very convenient, just a 5-minute walk to the subway.
I've stayed at this hostel twice and was happy with it. It's conveniently located near a metro station, and the administrators are sociable, very nice, and helpful. The rooms were clean, with fresh sheets and good air conditioning. I liked staying there.
