My birthday check-in got off to a stressful start because the name on my booking didn’t match my ID. It was a busy weekend, and I worried I wouldn’t be able to stay, which was especially upsetting on my birthday. Madam Razzel listened and sorted it out with kindness and professionalism, so I could enjoy the visit without more stress. The cake sent up to my room was such a thoughtful surprise and a birthday memory I won’t forget. Thanks to the whole team for making me feel welcome, and especially to Madam Razzel for turning a difficult start into a really special day. Excellent service and hospitality.

The view is great, and the staff upgraded us to a suite, which I appreciated. Still, I wouldn’t say that’s enough to make me come back. I was excited to stay in the world’s tallest hotel, but the lobby felt like a marketplace. The elevators were awful. They’re often full, and we waited 15-20 minutes. It may be better to go up to the highest floor and then come down instead of waiting on your own floor. I called at night for water, but it didn’t arrive until morning after I followed up. The room looked old, and although there’s a kitchen, it’s restricted. The pool is in a separate building and doesn’t offer the best view. Breakfast costs 70 AED. I’d suggest Circle Cafe or LDC in DIFC instead, as the money goes further there. I’d stay for the experience, but wouldn’t return.

The rooftop pool deck and "Highest View" restaurant make for a memorable backdrop, and the buffet food was good quality with plenty of choice. I’d especially recommend the breakfast. The suites are spacious, well kept, and feel luxurious. The 356m skyscraper offers stunning views all around the city. It’s easy to reach from Sheikh Zayed Road and only minutes from the Metro, Museum of the Future, and Burj Khalifa. November to March is a good time to visit if you want to enjoy the outdoor rooftop facilities in pleasant weather.

The food was really good, though the takeaway portions could use some improvement. It didn’t get in the way of our stay. We had a room on the 70th floor, and the view was amazing. The staff went above and beyond. There was a bit of a wait for the lift each time, but it wasn’t too bad. The Metro and bus are right at the door, which makes getting around easy.
