Globalstay Azizi Royal Bay Apartments

We loved our stay at the Dream Inn apartment at Royal Bay by Azizi and plan to come back soon. Jenny stayed in touch throughout and shared information whenever we asked. The property was accommodating with early check-in and late checkout, subject to availability, and it felt very secure, with private parking. The balcony views were amazing, and the location was fabulous. Residents can use the private pool and beach, which were fantastic. The apartment had all the facilities advertised. I found booking directly through the property website better, with no hassle and immediate confirmation.

The fire alarms go off deafeningly every few days, on top of construction that’s been going on for weeks. The hammering and drilling are unbearable and nerve-shattering. This constant noise is enough to make your ears bleed.

I love everything about this place ❤️ The lifts are fast, there are lots of facilities throughout the building, and I appreciate the security system at azizi.

We were put into a two-bedroom apartment after booking a one-bedroom months ahead. Two weeks before arrival, they said the original wasn’t available because of circumstances beyond their control and called the change an upgrade. We checked in just after 3.00pm and were told the host would show us around. Instead, the concierge said the cleaners were inside and we should go in, with the keys left in the room. After a 14-hour flight, we wanted a shower, but there were no towels. The apartment was obviously unclean and smelled strange. The host said cleaners would come back. Small flying bugs were throughout the unit, and the lounge, coffee table, and kitchen bench were covered in what looked like permanent stains. The second bedroom curtains covered only half the window, letting in light and heat all day. In the main bedroom, they didn’t close at the middle or ends, so light came in all night. The air conditioning was set as low as possible but struggled to cool the place, which stayed humid and uncomfortable. We asked the host for a better apartment or a discount. He flatly refused to negotiate and offered only to send cleaners again. Looking at other reviews, it seems they regularly advertise a nice one-bedroom unit and then put people in the two-bedroom DUMP. There’s no customer service. The whole experience was pathetic.
