Gold Sky Avenue Hotel

We paid 400 AED for one night, but the hotel didn’t meet basic cleanliness or maintenance standards. The room had visible mold, serious water damage, peeling walls, dirty carpet, and even hair on it. The washroom and room both need major renovation. From the moment we arrived, the whole place smelled bad. The corridors had trash everywhere, including black plastic bags left outside, and the carpets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for days. It was a very disappointing stay and absolutely not worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

I’ve traveled for over 30 years, and this was the worst hotel stay I’ve had. At 400 AED a night, the service and cleanliness didn’t justify even a fraction of the price. The hotel and room were dirty, the floors stained, and the furniture old and worn. Everything felt outdated and poorly maintained. The bathroom was in terrible condition. I asked twice for it to be cleaned, and only after insisting did someone come. The cleaner casually said there was “no problem with the bathroom,” even though the dirt was obvious. They didn’t even seem to recognize it was dirty. Reception was rude and unprofessional. I waited over an hour for towels with no response. When I called again, they said the hotel had run out and would bring some from another hotel. The towels arrived very late, and the staff member casually called them “fresh,” despite the poor service. Cleanliness was very poor, the staff were below zero, and the room wasn’t worth staying in. This hotel doesn’t deserve even one star. Would you pay 400 AED a night for this? I absolutely don’t recommend it.

15/06/2026 I booked five nights, but the night shift ladies were rude and very unprofessional. They didn’t even seem to know the hotel policy. Disappointed with how they behaved, and I won’t be coming back.

I booked through Booking after relying on the Google map photos and the general review rating. When I arrived, the room had two single beds and one double bed, which wasn’t the room I’d selected on the website. I tried to cancel, but the hotel refused. They also wouldn’t let me speak with the manager. I submitted a cancellation request through Booking, and although they contacted the hotel, it ignored their email. I left without getting my money back. The whole process took around two hours, then I spent another hour finding a different hotel. The hotel didn’t smell good and wasn’t fully clean either. The area wasn’t ideal, with crowds and no proper parking. I hope everyone has a pleasant stay in Dubai.
