Grand Millennium Business Bay

The Museum of the Future tickets included in our hotel package became a mess. Our slot was meant to be at 11:00 AM, but the hotel kept making excuses and moved it to 12:00 PM. We went to reception 30 minutes before that time, and the tickets still weren’t ready. Then they tried to push it to 12:30 PM even though we had other plans that day. We had also waited for our room. Our confirmed check-in was 9:00 AM, and we arrived around 8:30 AM. We understood that arriving early might mean waiting, but the hotel was almost empty and we were the only family checking in that morning, yet we only got the room around 10:00 AM. The room and hallway were dirty. There were food crumbs on the carpet and a bad smell from the toilet. The housekeeping and hygiene standards were unacceptable for a hotel claiming to offer quality service. We even have videos showing the hotel's condition. From start to finish, the stay felt stressful, unprofessional, and badly managed. It was especially disappointing on a family trip, and definitely not worth the money. One of our worst hotel experiences. We wouldn’t recommend Grand Millennium Business Bay.

I stayed for a short leisure trip, 27-29 MAY. Breakfast was ok, and the reception staff were courteous and professional. I liked the wooden keycard too. That was about it for the good points. There were old stains on the bed, the body wash was empty, and the AC wasn’t strong even with the temperature turned all the way down. The hallways were dirty, so housekeeping needs to improve.

I booked two prepaid nights at Grand Millennium Hotel Business Bay through Agoda, but at check-in the receptionist asked me to pay again. I thought it might be tourism taxes or a security deposit, so I paid. Later I checked my bank statement and saw I’d been charged the full amount for both nights, meaning I’d paid twice for the same stay. I brought it up at checkout the next day. The receptionist admitted it was a mistake and promised the money back within three days. Nothing arrived, so I called again. They then said seven days, then 14, then 30. It’s now been over a month with no refund and no resolution. They’ve stopped answering my calls, and although they see my WhatsApp messages, they don’t reply. This is more than a billing error. There’s no accountability, honesty, or basic customer service. If you book here, be prepared to spend weeks or months trying to get back what’s rightfully yours. Very disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel unless they fix both their billing system and their attitude toward customers.

The staff made our hotel stay amazing. Special thanks to Divya, Addy, Esther and Kerah for being so welcoming and helpful whenever we went for breakfast. We’d definitely come back.
