Lamtara 1 - Mint Stay

The apartment itself was beautiful and well maintained, and they kindly provided some groceries. The location is great, next to Madinat Jumairah, but getting there and checking in was a mess. It wasn't easy to find on maps, and repeated calls to the booking number went unanswered until after noon. We had asked for an early check-in, but without a reply we had to make other plans. My baby and family stayed with me until 7pm while I finished, and only then did we start looking for the apartment. We checked in extremely late, when I could just as well have gone home instead of booking it. I wish communication had been better so we could have arrived on time. The woman responsible for the house at reception was no help either. We went to ask her in the morning how early check-in worked, or how to check in at all, and she gave us no information. The baby crib was shabby and dusty, and there was no linen for the baby. We had to ask for it twice. I just wish the organization matched the apartment.

My partner and I liked the building, but decided not to buy because of the poor management. It's a lot to pay and still be treated like a second-class citizen. Security and reception seem indifferent to residents, and the security staff have been rude and unhelpful. Management is hard to reach by phone or email, and their 11am to 3 pm meeting hours are impractical for people who work. Even when you go in person, you can wait 45 mins to speak to someone. The rules feel arbitrary and are enforced heavily. Parcels can't be left outside, and guests have to give very intrusive information before visiting, then get treated like criminals by reception. Security watch people in the shared areas like prison guards. They also try to patrol the street outside and dictate what you can do there, even loading children's car seats into a van. All of this makes it hard to feel comfortable or respected at home.

The other security staff are very nice, and I was glad to stay in this building. But Tofael was extremely rude. He sent away the person helping me move heavy stuff, leaving me to handle it alone, and he shouted at the delivery guy.

The security team at Madinat Jumeirah Living helped make the building feel safe and looked after residents with real care. I especially appreciate Mr. Banga and Zayed for their professionalism and patience, including helping us communicate across language barriers. They went out of their way to make sure we understood each other, and their help stood out during my stay. Their manager also deserves recognition for building such a professional, well-coordinated team. It's refreshing to meet people who take pride in their work and provide this kind of service.
