Landmark Hotel Riqqa

There were lots of mosquitoes in the room, and my baby woke up with bites on the face. I know the hotel is old, but please spray for insects before guests arrive, especially when you know there’s a baby. The cot mattress cover was just a blanket folded over many times, and the mattress had lots of stains.

Abu Bakr was especially helpful and friendly, carrying our luggage at both check-in and check-out. His help made the stay even better. Landmark Al Riqqa was very clean, well kept, and orderly. It’s also in a great location, with two metro stations easy to reach and plenty of places to eat nearby, so getting around was convenient.

I spent six days here. The area for transportation is not the hotel, and there was a little smoke smell. Customer service and the front desk were OK, with good smiles. The tour driver was really nice, always had a good smile, and gave nice customer service. Thank you.

The breakfast was awful in quality, taste, and presentation, below even basic hotel standards. It was the worst hotel breakfast I’ve had, and especially unsuitable for families with young children. My 3.5-year-old was also at risk in the room: an open electrical socket near the bed was within reach, and the broken headboard was roughly nailed with exposed parts that could cause serious injury. The AC didn’t regulate the temperature properly. After I complained, a technician came the next day and only cleaned the filter, but the problem continued. Poor maintenance, safety hazards, and food like this made the stay fall short of reasonable expectations. I hope management addresses these concerns urgently to protect guests and improve service.
