Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre

The room was quiet, spacious, and very clean, which made it easy to relax. We also mentioned our anniversary when booking and were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary cake. Ms. Mia was especially sweet and polite, and her hospitality stood out. She arranged a complimentary Club Room upgrade, early check-in, and late check-out, making the stay even nicer. The resort has several pools, good dining options, and discounts on food and spa services. It was a lovely break for my husband and me from our busy routines. Thanks to the whole team for making it memorable. Highly recommend.

The location is right by Dubai International Airport, and the hotel has a nice lobby, decent valet parking, and some pleasant walking areas. The rooms are only really nice if you're in the Royal Club; otherwise they're pretty standard. Bathrooms are nice, though. Breakfast was well below average for me, so I came away with mixed feelings.

The breakfast was phenomenal. There was so much to choose from, including foods I'd been wanting to try for ages. But after my sister and I took a light swim in the Spa Pool, some water accidentally got into my mouth. It tasted really strange and disgusting, nothing like water. My brother didn't swim, and he stayed perfectly fine. Once we got home, my sister and I developed severe throat pain, then became very sick about two days later. At times my fingernails turned blue and my heart beat very fast. I've been exhausted even after sleeping well, and this happened while I was sitting my MAIN EXAMS. I've been doing badly in my exams because of how sick I've been. I can't help wondering if the pool was connected, though I don't know for sure. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were lovely, and the scent was perfect.

I only use the gym through a membership, so I can't comment on the rooms. It's a little pricey, but better than the gym at my accommodation. There's a yoga room, a calisthenics area, a matted space for boxing and MMA, then stair masters and treadmills, plus machines, benches, squat racks, cables, pull-up bars, dumbbells, and more. A few machines are missing, but there's plenty to improvise with. I usually go at the end of the day, and the thorough cleaning I see is a big plus. The sauna gets nice and hot, and they provide a bucket of water. There's also a steam room. The hotel seems nice otherwise. I often see different events while walking in and out of the gym, and it looks like they run a buffet daily.
