Majestic Cove Hotel

We couldn't stay, and the booking was non-refundable, so we lost the payment. At check-in, only my husband had his original ID with him. Mine wasn't physically available then, so I offered UAE Pass or to email my ID, but neither option was accepted and no alternative was suggested. This was my second time booking here. I understand hotels have internal policies, but I expected more flexible, customer oriented communication. We had booked one night because the location was close to my clinic. This experience disappointed me, and I don't plan to book here again.

The restaurant service was top notch, especially John, who was welcoming and helpful. Reception was the main problem. We were a family of 3 people and had booked a room that was supposed to be big, but they put us in a small one. When we asked about moving to a bigger room, Batoul and ezzat LIED, saying all the rooms were the same size. We knew other acquaintances with the same booking who were staying in single rooms much bigger than ours, double the size. If you stay there, watch out for reception and their lies.

The location is the strongest part of this place: City Center Deira station is right there, the airport is about a 10-minute metro ride away, and there are plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. Booking early also made the price reasonable for this area. The rooms were clean and fine, though the property is getting older and could use a planned renovation to stay fresh. What really put me off was how my booking mistake was handled. After using the platform for ten years, I accidentally booked the wrong month. I contacted both the hotel and Agoda straight away, but got no reply or even a basic courtesy to help sort out what was a simple calendar error. I had to book again at the last minute and paid more than twice as much. A little goodwill would have earned my loyalty for years. Instead, the indifference has left me unsure about coming back. The location is great, but I wouldn't count on flexibility if something goes wrong with a booking.

The location is the big draw, and the staff were welcoming. They had no trouble getting milk for our little boy. The gym is fine for what it is. The fridge needs to work, and it'd be good to have more English-language TV channels. A children's play area would also help.
