Mövenpick Dubai Creek Hotel

Food and service were the best parts of our first stay at a Mövenpick as a family. At The Great Oaks restaurant on Floor R, dinner and breakfast offered a wide spread of cuisines, from Indian and Mediterranean to Western dishes. There were fried appetizers, fresh salads, hearty mains, and rich desserts. Breakfast favorites included Chia Pudding, Creamy Spinach, Hashbrowns, Smoked Salmon, customizable omelettes, and Danish pastries. Dinner had a mini chocolate fountain, warm potato soup, Cheese, Chicken, and Vegetable spring rolls, assorted pastas, and meat and non-meat options such as Kofta Kebab and Greek Salad. The servers were attentive, and we really appreciated that. It was a family member’s birthday during check-in, and Sous Chef de Partie Chef Mark made and served a special birthday noodle dish with Yew-in, Betty, Bradley, and other kind waiters. Mr. Fady and Ms. Arienne helped us at the desk during check-in and check-out, Ms. Ambika was in the Children’s Room, and Mr. Noel was at the free ice cream stand out front. We also received a delicious cake and birthday decorations. All the effort that went into preparing our accommodation and the overall experience meant a lot. It’s a top-notch hotel to stay in!

The friendly atmosphere and comfort made this a great place to relax and enjoy the city. From arrival, the staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive. Mr. Ram from Housekeeping stood out in particular. His cleaning standards were excellent, and he consistently kept things hygienic and clean. Staff across reception, housekeeping, and the restaurants went above and beyond, and I felt genuinely cared for.

We booked 6 rooms for a family celebration staycation, and the experience was really worthwhile, especially with such a budget-friendly half-board package. Mubashir Hassan from Reservations was professional, helpful, and attentive throughout the booking process. Arienne at Reception gave us a warm welcome and excellent assistance. At The Great Oak Dining, Arlene and Betty were attentive and friendly, and made meals more enjoyable. Stephen at the pool also went above and beyond to make sure guests were comfortable and looked after. The team’s care helped make our celebration special, and overall we had a wonderful stay. The one downside was that the pool felt quite small for the number of guests. Even so, we’d definitely recommend the hotel for families or groups looking for an affordable, worthwhile staycation. Thanks to the whole team for making it memorable.

The food was a letdown: the same menu came back for 3 days, the restaurant was extremely crowded, and some meat dishes ran out and weren’t replenished promptly. We’d spent a lot hoping for a relaxing Eid holiday, but this became one of our worst hotel experiences in Dubai. Seven families came to Mövenpick Hotel to unwind and spend time together after busy work schedules, but the stay ruined our mood. We were meant to check in at 3:00 PM, yet only got our rooms around 7:00 PM after hours in a crowded lobby. I’m pregnant, and some families had small children, so the wait was stressful and uncomfortable. We’d booked separate rooms online, but some were connected family rooms, 808 and 806, and this hadn’t been properly explained to us. The connecting door lock was broken, so we couldn’t lock it for privacy. That might work for one family with children, but it was uncomfortable for separate couples of friends. Management wasn’t helpful, and by then we were already frustrated.
