Orchid Hotel

Both rooms reeked of cigarettes, despite being advertised as non-smoking, and one even had an ashtray. They were filthy too. The bedsheets had fresh wet stains and hair all over them, making it obvious they hadn’t been changed for new guests. The conditions were unhygienic and revolting, so there was no way we could stay. We checked out immediately and told reception what had happened. After arriving late at night, exhausted from travelling, we waited almost 30 minutes just to check in. Getting into the two assigned rooms only made the situation worse. We asked for a refund, but the hotel sent us to MakeMyTrip and later falsely claimed we had stayed there so they could refuse it. That’s completely untrue. We didn’t stay because the rooms were unfit for any guest. I’m extremely upset and disappointed with how the hotel treated us. The poor hygiene, terrible service and unprofessional handling of our complaint ruined the night for me and my friends. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and I strongly advise people to avoid it.

The massive nightclub in Orchid Hotel blasted music all night, and drunk people kept coming and going, yelling in the hallways. The atmosphere felt unsafe, and it was impossible to relax or sleep. None of this was properly disclosed when booking. The manager was rude, aggressive and dishonest from the moment we arrived. We had already booked and paid online, but he still tried to make us pay extra charges that had never been mentioned. When we questioned it, he became hostile and unprofessional instead of helping. The advertising was misleading, the customer service was horrible, and the environment was awful. I would never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful or honest place to stay.

We stayed at Orchid Hotel for three days while working an event, and I’d return for future work. The staff were kind and commendable. When I asked to extend our stay, they readily guided me and offered an affordable price. The location near Al Rigga Metro station was useful for getting to work, malls and other places. The room was a good, convenient size for a couple. The bathroom was okay and had free soap dispensers and body wash, though flushing was difficult because it was manual. Overall, it’s a good hotel to stay in.

The room felt unlivable. It was in poor condition, dark even during the day because the lights were extremely dim, and the AC barely worked. The windows were locked and couldn’t be opened. It wasn’t ready at check-in, and there was no toothpaste or slippers. The intercom didn’t work at first, though they fixed it later. The bathroom was very dirty, and water spread all over after a shower. The parking area was dirty and smelled bad too. Very poor service, and I won’t stay again.
