Spacious Studio Apartment Burj View with Balcony Free Parking by Belvilla

The elevators took about 10 minutes on average each day, which was very inconvenient. There was also a strong, unpleasant smell in the building, probably from the fried Indian snack shop just to the right of the entrance. We stayed five nights, from December 29 to January 3, after booking early and paying 2,600 AED in total. Since the place is about 3 km from the New Year's Eve celebration area, we thought the price seemed reasonable. Later, I looked online and saw that some guests were paying as much as 3,865 AED per night. I can't imagine what they'd think at that price. It would be a disaster. The trouble began as soon as we entered the room. Three cockroaches were crawling around. The floors were so dirty that walking barefoot would turn your feet black, and the bathroom was just as bad. I worried about bed bugs, though fortunately we didn't find any. We asked management for tape and had to seal the drain openings ourselves. The insects became fewer only after we blocked the drains. Guests should not have to take care of pest control. This was a terrible, deeply disappointing stay. The hotel looked nothing like its online photos and failed to meet basic standards for cleanliness, comfort, and value. I'd strongly advise future guests to stay elsewhere.
