The rooms are really good, and having an apartment where you can cook your own food is a big plus. There are food options nearby too. Cleaning could be more frequent and better done. The TVs should be upgraded to smart TVs, though they work well if you bring a Chrome connector.

The hygiene and service were so poor that I left on the fourth day and moved elsewhere, losing both money and holiday time. My room wasn't properly cleaned: there were visible yellow stains, the toilet was never cleaned well, and room service seemed to wipe only the wash basin. Three of us were given just one litre of water a day, even after I asked for more. I had booked and paid in advance for a particular room category for a 10-day holiday, but on arrival I was given a different, lower category. I told reception and the assistant manager that I wanted the category I had paid for, not a room matching the pictures. They dismissed me and kept saying I wouldn't get the room shown in the photos. They told me to come back to reception each morning to check availability. I asked to change rooms on four mornings in a row. No one followed up, apologized, or tried to fix it. The staff's behavior was unprofessional, and the whole stay was stressful and deeply disappointing after booking well ahead. I wouldn't recommend this place and regret choosing it.

For ten days, Star Metro Deira felt like a home away from home. The housekeeping team kept the apartment fresh every day, worked thoroughly, and respected my space. Everyone I met on staff was friendly and greeted me with a smile. The location made getting around Dubai easy and affordable, with the Metro just 180 meters away. The apartment was clean when I arrived, and over the whole stay I didn't see any cockroaches or insects. The kitchen was in great shape too, with working appliances and good cooking equipment, plates, and utensils. I could make meals without any hassle. There were useful touches for a longer visit: a sturdy rack for drying laundry, an iron and ironing board that worked properly, and plenty of bottled drinking water each day. A great choice for a 10-day trip, whether traveling for work or with family.

I ended up booking another apartment because of how the hotel handled my inquiry. I called to ask about a 10-day stay and get the details before committing. The first staff member was rude, wouldn't provide the information, and abruptly hung up when I politely asked follow-up questions. She didn't answer when I called back. A man picked up on my third try. When I asked what had happened and requested her name, he said he didn't know it, which surprised me. This isn't acceptable customer service for a hotel. Management should review the call records to hear how prospective guests are being treated. It's unfortunate, because service like this must cost the hotel potential customers.
