Vista Square Hotel

I came in for some Ghanaian food 😂. The food was good, though the service needs work.

We booked a night after arriving late in Dubai, and only needed somewhere to sleep. The non-smoking room we requested turned out to be a smoking room with a really bad smell. There were bugs, and the bedsheets weren’t clean. It wasn’t a nice experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting a pleasant Dubai trip. If you just need to crash for a couple of hours, it might do.

The rooms are average, especially considering the very high charges. I paid in advance, so I had to be extra careful through the stay. After checkout, staff charged me for unexpected things, such as a duvet stain, 50 dirhams for each item. I believe management may not know how customers are treated here. I saw a few incidents in the lobby where staff seemed to be trying to loot customers. I recommend staying elsewhere.

Parking was a major problem. There’s no hotel parking area, and the garage costs 10 AED an hour, so it adds to the bill. There isn’t even an entrance where you can stop the car to unload luggage. The street is narrow and extremely crowded, and I saw some unpleasant 💃 activity there. The location is miserable. The lobby is just a small tunnel, and when I called on the way to check in, nobody answered. It’s noisy, with no soundproofing. The bathroom was old and rusty, there was no hot water, and the toilet seat was already damaged. In the room there was no safe, no wardrobe hangers, and no iron. The TV didn’t work and the windows were very dirty. The mattress was uncomfortable, and the bed was really two small beds pushed together, with a sharp edge you could feel under your back. I also saw a small cockroach crawl under the mini fridge. The only good thing was the staff. I honestly feel sorry for them having to work in a place like this. This place was the worst mistake of my life. Don’t be fooled by the photos!
