The hotel’s setting is extraordinary, with dune views, dramatic sunsets, peaceful nights, and a sky full of stars. Its restaurants matched that atmosphere with excellent food and impeccable service. We were celebrating a birthday, and the champagne at arrival plus the beautiful cake waiting in the room made the occasion feel especially thoughtful. The property itself resembles an old fortified desert village, complete with towers, narrow lanes, and traditional architecture. At times it felt more like a historic settlement than a hotel. The rooms fit naturally into the setting while still providing modern comfort, and the antique firearms and historical artifacts added a fascinating sense of the region’s past. Arun deserves special mention. He anticipated our needs with impressive attention to detail, while remaining friendly, professional, and never intrusive. The whole team made the stay memorable, and we plan to come back.

Our 1 Bedroom Villa at Anantara Qasr Al Sarab was spacious, private, and beautifully maintained. The resort’s desert views, quiet setting, and attentive service made the stay feel genuinely luxurious and relaxing. The only drawback was that the bedroom AC felt slightly warm. That may be a common issue in UAE hotels, particularly in desert areas, but stronger or colder cooling in the bedroom would have made the villa even more comfortable. Even so, it was a beautiful and memorable stay that I would definitely recommend.

The Royal Pavilion Pool Villa was beautifully spacious and clean, with an unbeatable view. Birds sang throughout the day, and in the mornings we could spot gazelles and oryxes nearby. The Arabic food we tried was all delicious, and Arun was kind and helpful during our stay. Even the drive in was memorable. The private road to Qasr Al Sarab passes through majestic ochre dunes, and seeing three gazelles running at full speed made it feel like a National Geographic episode. Thank you. A&P

The sunrise horseback ride was the highlight of our weekend at Qasr al Sarab. I rode Oreo, who was lovely and obedient, and I’d happily return for a sunset ride. The resort itself was pristine and beautifully designed, combining a traditional feel with modern touches. Check-in was personal and convenient, the rooms and facilities were clean and organized, and there were excellent pools and plenty of restaurant choices. Guests could choose from paid outdoor activities as well as complimentary daily options listed online and near the breakfast reception. The gym was great and included sauna and steam rooms in the toilet area. I didn’t get to try the spa and wellness facilities, though reformer pilates was available on weekdays when I visited.

The silence and golden dunes around Anantara Qasr Al Sarab created an incredibly calming escape from city life. Our Deluxe Balcony Room booking was upgraded to a One-Bedroom Pool Villa, which made the stay feel even more special. The villa had plenty of space, privacy, and a peaceful plunge pool. Every part of the resort showed careful design, combining modern luxury with an authentic desert setting. The facilities were impeccable, and the views felt like living postcards. It’s an ideal retreat for anyone wanting peace, privacy, and a little desert magic.
