The Cove Rotana Resort

Our stay at The Cove Rotana Resort, from 25.05 to 31.05, was a genuinely lovely family holiday. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and ready to help, which made both the adults and children feel comfortable. The property is beautiful and very well maintained, with impressive views and a fantastic private beach. We also enjoyed the food, which was fresh, well prepared, and varied from day to day. Thank you to the hotel management for creating such a welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed every part of the vacation and would gladly return to Ras Al Khaimah and recommend this hotel.

The buggy tour with Mr ahmed was genuinely worthwhile. He showed us around the whole resort and was the bright spot in an otherwise very disappointing stay. After checking in around 3, my family went to the pool at about 4. The children had fun, and the slides were good, but the pool was not clean, especially the baby pool. I could clearly see dirt collecting on the bottom. Later, we looked forward to the complimentary half-board dinner, but the buffet was one of the worst I have experienced. It was frustrating and felt worse than food from a local cafeteria. Even spending 89 aed at laal Qila or barbeque nation feels more worthwhile, and the water and aid drinks were the only things that were perfect. This was meant to be relaxing family time before I returned to a busy work life, but the meal ruined the experience. I wish we had chosen al marjan island resort instead, and I will not be visiting this resort again. I hope the brand takes this seriously so other guests do not have the same experience.

The resort offers good value, with wide grounds and a beautiful beachfront. We did have an unpleasant bathroom smell in our room, but the team dealt with it quickly and solved the problem efficiently. Sadam, Anjali, and Cristina at reception deserve special mention. They made both check-in and departure smooth, and their warmth and assertiveness helped us feel welcome throughout the stay. The all-inclusive drinks could use more variety. The selection seemed to be the same at every outlet, which became repetitive. Different options at different venues would make exploring the resort more appealing.

The beach was beautiful, especially for a sunset swim, and the activities made this a fun place for a family staycation. The rooms were great, the food was amazing, and the overall weekend was wonderful. Cristina at reception helped us a lot, as did another gentleman whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch. The buggy and vallet teams also deserve special recognition for working tirelessly in the extreme heat while still greeting guests with a smile. Everyone was kind and helpful.
