Al Sharq Hotel

Because there was no water in Room 505 from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM on Jan 2nd, I could not get ready and missed an important meeting. I stayed there from Jan 1-3, 2026, and the front office staff would not connect me with management when I asked about compensation or even an apology. Very poor infrastructure and service. I am reporting this to the Sharjah Tourism Department.

The reception staff seemed lethargic and unresponsive, leaving us waiting for a long time during check-in. These repeated delays were frustrating and inconvenient throughout my recent stay. As a paying customer, I expect the check-in process to be handled with more efficiency. The receptionist should be replaced or retrained so future guests receive a better experience.

Service at the hotel was very poor because the two reception staff, Deepak & Vivek, were often occupied with their mobiles, watching videos, playing games, or talking on the phone. They would then forget to report service requests to housekeeping. Customers should not have to deal with this kind of inconvenience.

I chose Al Sharq Hotel partly because it offered free parking. After I arrived, I handed my car key to the staff as instructed, so the vehicle was under the hotel's custody. Later, on the same date and time, I received a police fine for illegal parking. I had not moved the car, so I checked with the relevant authorities and learned that the hotel staff had parked it in a prohibited area. When I returned for help, they were rude and told me to “go complain to the police,” saying they could do nothing. Their negligence caused the fine and a lot of stress, and their dismissive attitude made it worse. I strongly advise against using the parking here.
